Iron Horse District Pinewood Derby
Come out and race in the Iron Horse District Pinewood Derby on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Stonebriar Mall (Frisco).
Event Details
- Event Day/Time: Saturday, March 7, 2026 — 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Location: Stonebriar Mall, Frisco
- Check-in (Car Drop-Off): Friday, March 6 — 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
The event will now be held in the older, lower-level space, situated by the elevator and below the escalator, near Cheesecake Factory and Dave & Busters. This will be a prime spot for all the action with great overhead views!
- Easiest Access: From the parking lot in front of Cheesecake Factory and Barnes & Noble, or via the parking garage below.
- No Seating: Please come prepared and with comfortable shoes as there is no public seating in the event area.
- A Scout is Clean: Please help keep the space tidy. Return any borrowed chairs promptly when finished.
- A Scout is Courteous: Remember; we are guests and ambassadors of Scouting. Please be respectful of mall staff, shoppers and fellow scouts.
Race Options
District Finals
Pack 807’s top 5 qualifying cars will race in the District Finals! We encourage everyone from Pack 807 to come to the event and support our racers!
Registration is completed by unit leaders* - just make sure to coordinate with your den leader and bring the speed!*
Individuals and Outlaws!
While individuals who raced with Pack 807 and placed in the top 5 have automatically qualified for the district finals, any Cub Scout can register individually if they missed our Pack Derby or want a “do-over” after making improvements.
Furthermore, the Outlaws Race is open to anyone (siblings, older Scouts, adults)
Individuals and Outlaws ONLY: Register by Thursday, March 5 — 11:00 PM NO WALK-INS (Per above, Pack 807 Qualifiers will be registered by the pack!)

What to Bring / Notes
- Your derby car (and any small “tuning” items you might want at check-in)
- Water/snack (mall concessions may also be available)
- Scouts: Please wear your Blue Scout Uniform
