DARS Model & High Power Rocket Launch

The Dallas Area Rocket Society (DARS) is one of the largest, and the oldest Texas chapter, of the NAR (National Association of Rocketry). They have been promoting sport and hobby rocketry throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex nonstop for over 50 years. We will join their regular launch event where the boys can watch rocket launches and even bring their own to launch! This is an excellent opportunity to stoke our boys’ interest in science, math, aerospace or engineering.

Cost: Kids launch free!
Prep: Buy and assemble a model rocket kit (rocket, engines, wadding paper). Cubmaster Matt’s favorite spot to shop is Hobbytown in Lewisville or Plano.
