Trail Highlights
The Big Bluestem TRACK Trail offers a diverse hiking experience. You'll trek through a canopy of trees, including Hackberry, Ash, and a majestic Bois D' Arc tree. About ½ mile in, you'll discover a lush prairie full of native grasses and wildflowers. The trail also features vernal pools, seasonal wetlands that provide habitats for unique species of birds and amphibians.

- Families must hike with Scouts
- No pets allowed
- Bring water and sunscreen
- A small medical kit will be available
Preparation
- Arrive 15 minutes early; hiking begins promptly at 1:00 PM
- Wear appropriate hiking shoes and weather-suitable clothing
- Consider bringing snacks and a hat for sun protection
