8 Mile Hike: Park at McCord Park parking lot. Hike four miles out and four miles back. Simple :)
4 Mile Hike: You'll need to coordinate with another family (or bring two cars) to pull this off. Stash one car at the finish line, Beard Park. Then drive over to McCord Park and hike one-way from McCord Park to Beard Park. Simple :)
